「我其實一直很喜歡土的這個媒材,再加上我一直很喜歡顏色,這是繪畫可以展現的部分,這三個月來,碰土真的很舒壓很快樂,平常繪畫慣用的色彩,變成實際的東西。
這些物件是自己生活產生的回收物,飲料杯、氣泡水瓶、啤酒、洗衣精的罐子,酒精瓶、蘋果汁。
陶是一個蠻重的材質,看起來容易傾倒,但其實很強壯,其實跟生命狀態很接近的。
海浪的堆積跟沖刷,做陶的壓模也是在動作上有堆積擠壓,形狀上有些歪斜,包括一些擦上碰撞的痕跡,都是在對應到海浪的堆積擠壓的狀態。」藝術家自述


每次的協作計劃裡,土星也學習到很多,或是藉由藝術家的眼睛及生命經驗,帶我們看到更多豐富的顏色。協作同時雙方的,將各自的主體融合及理解,很開心與怡如的合作~也恭喜怡如於台南海馬迴光畫廊盛大開幕!

搬到這個地方的時候,聽說這間小屋是前屋主自己一磚一瓦慢慢規劃斟酌蓋起來的。鄰居們對於新遷入的我們很感興趣,不斷地介紹「這裡的土地很乾淨」、「我們家也是自己蓋的喔!」
這裡是一個生活感很重的住宅區,公領域中的私物堆積建立起住家周邊的風景,擁擠的巷弄停滿私家車,我好奇著何謂乾淨的土地,不斷搭訕鄰居後得知這裡原先都是魚塭與菜園,與鄰近的桂子山不同,開墾時沒有挖到骨頭。
新興里在很久很久以前是海洋,經過漫長時光的堆積成為塭與泥地,而後蓋起家屋、開了店,隨著居住累積了大量物件,這些物件都是日常的延長,我對於這些物非常感興趣,在這片淤積起來的土地上,這些物在海平面上進行沉積作用,成為都市景觀中的沉積層,成為一種有機的城市肌理。

When we moved in, we heard that this small house was carefully designed and built brick by brick by the former owner. The neighbors were pretty interested in us as the newcomers, they kept introducing us that “the land here is very clean,” “we also built our houses on our own!”
This neighborhood is filled with a sense of life, which can be seen as the scenery of private odds and ends stocked in public areas, or private cars parked all along the narrow alleys. I was wondering why they define here as “the clean land,” after having several random chats with my neighbors, I was told that this neighborhood used to be fish and vegetable farmlands, and was different from the Guizi Mountain area just besides us, where many human remains were found during the cultivation period.    
A long time ago, The Shin Shing Village was part of the ocean, and through many years of sedimentation it became ponds and wetlands, later there were households built and stores opened on it, also came along with enormous objects while more people had lived here. And I have become really obsessed with these objects as extensions of daily life, for on this sedimented land, these objects have been processing their own sedimentation above the sea level and have become layers of sedimentation of the urban scenery which creates an organic texture of the city.

藝術家介紹
2013 碩士,國立臺南大學美術研究所西畫組,臺南,臺灣
陳怡如的創作來自於生活的碎片,體察在個人所處的四周這些真實存在的,看似密切,卻仍保持距離的每一個片段。所在的每一個地方,擷取的每一個切片,她既成了觀察者,也成為收藏家。每一個切片都是她自己。陳怡如一直以色塊的方式經營畫面,將現實中的色彩解構,均質化後重新建構,從生活撿拾的片段再度回返生活,這樣的循環對她來說實屬自然,是其與日常相貼合的創作感懷。
